The term ‘Dementia’ means a range of signs and symptoms that are consistent with damage caused to the brain by specific conditions.
This course will identify the facts about different types of dementia and how you can support individuals in their tasks of daily living. You will be able to recognise some of the signs and symptoms of dementia that are associated with a progressive decline in intellectual function and how to acknowledge the rights of those with dementia by understanding the legislation and guidance.
