Redclyffe Care Home – Scope

Redclyffe is a care home providing 24 hour residential service for 19 disabled adults with a broad range of disabilities. We access a variety of training suppliers to meet the training needs of our staff.

One of the trainers is Flexible Training which delivers Induction Training for our new staff. The programme covers the standards which helps the new employee to gain awareness and understanding of the key issues of being a carer. The staff attended, told me that they thoroughly enjoyed the sessions as they were conducted in an interactive; informative and professional manner.

Flexible Training also provide qualifications for our staff. We have 4 staff currently undertaking the Level 2 in Health and Social Care supported by Flexible Training. I receive regular feedback from the assessor regarding the candidates progress, and of any issues of concern that I can help to address.

Without doubt the training input from Flexible Training has raised the level of knowledge and competence of our care staff which in turn reflects positively in their care delivery.
